Located in Seattle's historic Columbia City neighborhood, the Columbia City Farmers Market started in 1998 as a grass roots volunteer effort by Rainier Valley. Each market day is full of the colors and sounds from all over the world, who call this comunity home. Farm tables with the region's freshest fruits and vegetables, organic produce, free-range eggs, hazlenuts, honey, ciders, cheeses, baked goods, jams, sauces, cut flowers, fresh bread, and other baked goods, wine, shellfish, meat and fish, nursery stock offered by more than 40 Washington State farmers and small food vendors.
Hours and Location:
Wednesdays, April 29 through October 21, from 3pm to 7pm, in the Columbia Plaza at 4801 Rainier Ave South (at South Edmunds). There is street parking in the vicinity, or shoppers can park for up to 2 hours in the lot next to the market ($1 per hour).
