The Cheyenne Winter Farmers Market is located inside the cozy historic train depot the first Saturday of each month from November through April starting at 10 and ending at 2 pm.
You'll find a bounty of locally raised grass fed meats from Beef, Bison, and Lamb along with free range pastured Chicken. (a side note: A growing body of research indicates that eating grass-fed meat is a healthy choice, it's rich in Omega-3 fatty acides, Vitamin E and is lower in fat than grain-fed meat). Winter vegetables like; winter squash, onions, leeks, beets, carrots and even lettuce weather permitting.
You'll also find; fresh homemade artisan breads, cookies, pies, cinnamon rolls, pineapple upside down cake, very fancy cupcakes, soups, chowders
