Description
Barker's Island Farmers' Market is an open air market held in the parking lot next to the S.S. Meteor on beautiful Barker's Island in Superior, WI. The market is a Saturday morning gathering spot for the community, offering locally grown produce, maple syrup, honey, jam, mustards and other condiments, baked goods, as well as hand-made garden crafts. Customers enjoy meeting the growers who offer a wide variety of fresh produce grown in the Douglas County area. Customers will find a good selection of fresh, chemical free vegetables and fruit available, varying with the season each week. Many heirloom varieties of tomatoes, squash, and other selections are featured by local growers. The market is an opportunity for local farmers to sell directly to the customers. All vendors must be from the area, selling only items they have produced themselves.
