Summary: A polished, professional sales manager, Mr. Feighan was born in Ohio, some high school in Rome, Italy and came east to attend Fairfield Univ. (BA) and the University of Connecticut (MBA). Michael has over 20 years in corporate business development with GTE, General DataComm, CIDCO (caller ID) and Sprint Nextel. He has negotiated and implemented numerous national contracts with many of the Fortune 100. He is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt through the General Electric Co. vendor training program. With a company merger, Michael was able to re-assess his personal goals and found an opportunity within the Environmental Management field. Consulting with developers on EPA compliance with respect to erosion control and storm-water runoff, he returned to school and is a LEED Green Associate candidate. He was given on-the-job training as a site inspector/analyst. Branching out, he has added Automotive and Dry Cleaning to his client base. He has begun working through the CT Energy Efficiency Fund to promote the efficient use of energy. An international traveler, Michael has reviewed energy initiatives in other countries. In his spare time, he is an avid reader, swimmer, amateur historian and serious hockey fan. Associated with Green Drinks, Green Faire, Live Green CT, Green Towns and Create the Good: Operation Energy Save, designed to assist individuals and community groups with how-to-guides for helping older friends and neighbors save money on energy costs, Michael lives by the personal motto “Be the Change You Want to See in the World”.
