Summary:

I work with municipalities in the southwestern part of Connecticut — volunteers, elected officials and staffers — on climate protection and energy management initiatives which translate into more sustainable communities.  See www.cleanair-coolplanet.org .  I've benefited greatly from taking a Permaculture Design class from Andrew Faust of NYC's "Center for Bioregional Living," and serve on my town's Conservation Commission and Energy Commission.  I grew up in a once-rural community in Pennsylvania, and love birding, kayaking, networking and the Sierra Club.
