Common Roots Sustainable Farm
Common Roots Sustainable Farm is a small, extremely diverse organic vegetable farm owned and operated by husband and wife farming team Brian and Rebecca Weiland. Located in the beautiful rolling hills of Burlington, Wisconsin, we are deeply committed to sustainable and organic farming practices that produce flavorful, nutritious food from healthy land. Healthy soil grows healthy plants that feed healthy bodies. Therefore, good land stewardship is at the heart of our farm, allowing us to produce delicious, nutritious vegetables for our customers and nourishing the ecosystem on which we all depend. We use only organic growing methods, always with an eye toward increasing the long-term health of the soil and leaving this planet better than we found it.
On less than two acres, we grow hundreds of varieties of over 45 different types of vegetables, including less common heirloom varieties, specialty culinary herbs, and Asian greens. Organic, locally grown food is more flavorful, nutrient-dense, fresh and varied than anything you can find at the supermarket. We serve only local markets and invite you to enjoy our produce by joining our 2012 Evanston CSA or Burlington CSA, or visiting us at the farmers' market in Evanston and Milwaukee.
Become a Member of Our Farm - Join Our 2012 CSA
Enrollment is now open for our 2012 Organic Veggie CSA. We are offering a small number of shares this season, so we encourage you to sign-up early (before March 1) to guarantee your spot.
Our goal is to cultivate a partnership between you, our community of customers, and us, your farmers, together creating a more beneficent food system that nourishes bodies, communities and the land.
By nurturing the soil that grows the food that nourishes your body, we honor the Common Roots that connect us to the land and to each other and form the basis of a sustainable agriculture.
