Lighthouse Project

Category: Recycling

Initiative Objective:

Thurman-Brisbane Shelter

Goal

To provide recycled rubber products for safe and effective applications in landscapes, playgrounds, equestrian, firing ranges, highway paving (as an aggregate), excavation backfill for large buildings, marine deckings, boiler fuel, and myriad civil engineering  uses.

Enhanced use of these applications eventually will decimate the hazardous abandonment or disposal of vehicular and industrial scrap rubber into landfills.

Initiative Objective

"Project Lighthouse" is an initiative of the local BBT bank. This one was a playground installation for the Thurman-Brisbane Shelter. The photo depicts the shelter's playground, surfaced with six tons of rubber playground mulch.
