Home Energy Audit Project-Fairfield

Thanks to a grant from the Department of Energy, the Town of Fairfield was able to offer 1,400 of its residents free home energy audits, on a first come first served basis. The program was very successful. The energy audit consisted of an energy assessment, including a blower door test for structural air leaks and corrective sealing, heating and cooling systems duct work test and sealing, installation of up to 25 CFLs, hot water-saving devices, rebates on qualified appliances and central air systems and other free services worth up to $750.
