Yankey Farms is a small family owned and operated vegetable farm located in Prince William County, Virginia. We grow a variety of summer and fall vegetables that we market through our two roadside stands and a CSA program. In addition to our vegetables we operate a pick-your-own pumpkin patch on weekends in October. For those who grow their own gardens, in May we sell a wide variety of heirloom and hybrid vegetable transplants grown in our greenhouse. While we are not organic we employ many organic and environmentally conscious production practices including cover crops, no-till planting, crop rotation, nutrient management planning, and compost application. For pest control we follow and integrated pest management program where we constantly monitor crops pests and select only the safest practice or product to control a certain pest if control is warranted.

We offer a 15 week CSA broken into two seasons. The summer season will start in early July and run for 8 weeks. There will then be a short break of 2-3 weeks, before the fall season begins in late September and runs for 7weeks. Summer shares will contain sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, summer squash, cucumbers, melons, and eggplant.

Fall shares will include cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, greens, winter squash, and sweet potatoes. In addition to our vegetables, shares include fruit from Orr's Orchard and Farm Market, another area family farm. Look for peaches and berries in the summer and apples and pears in the fall. Included in our CSA share are a dozen fresh cage free brown eggs from Croushorn Farms another small family farm. Our shares contain enough food for a 4-6 person family. For individuals, couples or small families we suggest finding another person or two to go in with you on purchasing a share.
