Description
Weekly share boxes vary depending on what types of food are available each season. Typically members receive approximately 10-15 generous servings of seasonal fruits, nuts and vegetables plus a variety of herb bunches each week. If available in your neighborhood, the egg shares are between 4-6 eggs per week. Members may also purchase any surplus veggies or eggs at a set price per pound/unit.
Urban Patchwork Neighborhood Farms provide fresh, affordable food for Austin one neighborhood at a time.
We believe community is the backbone of health, security and sustainability.
The Urban Patchwork network of small community based farms turns unused yard space into farmland that provides fresh, organically grown produce and eggs to the nearby residents of each neighborhood farm.
Austin residents can become members of the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program as well as purchase produce through local markets and businesses.
The Urban Patchwork network not only provides food for our bodies, we offer farm start-up programs; workshops for residents on nutrition, home food production and storage; marketing and job creation; and more.
