Description
Turning Roots Farm CSA is located on the property of Lundale Farm Inc, a non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing the agricultural heritage of our area by supporting sustainable farms, training farmers and educating landowners in order to put productive land into wise agricultural use.
At Turning Roots Farm we grow organically and biodynamically, though we are not certified. Our produce is picked at the height of ripeness for the best taste and nutritional qualities.
The CSA season will run for 22 weeks beginning in early June and running through October. Members will choose one pick up day that they will maintain throughout the growing season. Pick-Up days will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-7pm.
Members will also be involved in the growth of the farm over the season and are invited to come to events at the farm as well as to experience the cycles of the seasons as they visit the farm each week.
Turning Roots Farm is the homestead of TJ Costa and Chris Henwood Costa, a small-scale organic / biodynamic farm located in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Originally a working dairy, this farm has seen over 200 hundred years of history, development, and transformation. Our vision is to re-connect to the farm's agricultural heritage and in turn bring this connection to others. We cultivate an organic vegetable garden, tend a flock of laying hens, and keep honey bees all with the intent to provide fresh, healthy food to our local community. As the farm grows, we plan to offer a range of educational, meditation, and yoga programs to share our life and passions with you all.
