Description
We are a local, young family who grows produce and raises poultry without any chemicals. We own and operate our farm in the Orchard Homes area of Missoula. We offer CSA's and sell at the Orchard Homes Farmers' Markets on Thursdays throughout the growing season. We also sell wonderful, natural, farm-fresh eggs. We offer an egg-share program or will just provide you with whatever you need. Our chickens free-range in our pasture and fields, so they feast on grasses, vegetables, insects and plants. We supplement with all-natural, locally-made feed which has no chemicals or hormones. We love farming and believe in providing people with good, fresh, homegrown produce and eggs. We are also passionate about passing on the importance of agriculture so we offer Farm Tours for schools or anyone interested in learning about a small sustainable way of life.
We are a family owned and operated farm. Our CSAs are filled with variety and freshness. We will be experimenting in 2011 with a "cafeteria-style" approach. This is where the customers come through and pick out what items they want. We think this method is more sustainable and will cut down on waste. Our produce is always clean and fresh since we pick that day. The proximity of our farm to downtown Missoula is so close that it makes it very feasible for anyone in Missoula to participate!
