Description
Pickup is on the farm in the 500 block of Troy Drive, Madison. Standard share members pack their own shares from the farm stand style CSA display each week. Market share members choose their vegetables from the market display and can pickup every week or not as they choose. The CSA flower and herb garden is open to all members for u-pick each week.
We have been growing certified organic food on Madison's northside since 2001, and we are proud to be the city's first urban farm. Troy Community Farm is part of Troy Gardens - a 31-acre parcel that was saved from development by the extraordinary efforts of our neighbors, and is now home to the farm, a prairie, trails, community gardens, a kids' garden, and a 30-unit co-housing community. Since we are in the city, our CSA members and customers can visit the farm each week to select their produce from our farm stand. We also have a CSA flower and herb garden that is open for u-pick during each CSA pickup. Claire and Jake are our farmers and in addition to growing beautiful vegetables they also train 8 to 10 farm interns each year.
