2011 Lone Acre CSA will aim to have thought-provoking focus on plentiful variety and exposure to new, heirloom, and lesser known vegetables and herbs. Probable Lone Acre CSA members are excited about new things, seeking to encounter new produce, up to the challenge of learning what to do with new varieties, and interested in taking the tour of the season with the farm: seeing the challenges and triumphs of tending to certified organic acre of land on the North Fork of Long Island.

The Lone Acre is one acre farm doing a CSA and a late summer/fall farm stand on site. Certified Organic by NOFA NY Certified Organic LLC. Greens, melons, onions, beets, carrots, parsley, cilantro, marjoram, mint, peas, nasturtium, cress, okra, hot peppers, tomatillos, tomatoes, ground cherries, calendula, broccoli, kale, turnips, cotton, peanuts, cucumbers, luffa, basil, lettuce leaf basil, tulsi (holy basil), zucchini, pole beans and much more: all in an acre.

Pick Up/Drop Off Points:

-Brooklyn  (Sat)
Brooklyn CSA members pick up on Saturdays in Fort Greene area of Brooklyn. Delivery to your door in the area is available for a surcharge of $5/week ($100/season)- but, if you have mulitiple people pick up at the same place delivery is divided amongst the members until $1/week/person is reached.

-The Lone Acre  (Wed Fri)
On Farm CSA members pick up their shares at the farm in Southold next to the big white barn. Pick up will take place between 5 and 8.
