The Garden Gate Farm
Our mission is to provide wholesome food that is nutritious and flavorful, while incorporating sustainable farming practices that use all natural organic herbal field sprays and fertilizers. Our heirloom seeds are NEVER genetically modified - no GMOs or GEs here. We grow on 2 acres of Certified Organic land as well as our farms Certified Naturally Grown Acreage. Our farm offers not just organic veggies but Pork, Beef, Eggs, Chicken, Turkey and plants. We will customize a share for those with food allergies. We also offer work shares. Visa, MC, Disc., Amer. Express, EBT and checks are all welcome. We also deliver eggs, pork, beef and veggies December through April. Phone orders.

We, along with our daughter Taylor, sons Kyle, Ethan, Ryan, Evan and Aaron believe in and practice natural organic farming. We strive to provide our share members with a wide variety of nutritious, flavorful food. We make all attempts to use Heirloom varieties and then save our own seeds for the next years planting. We absolutely never use GMO/GE seeds. Our mission is to provide wholesome food that is both nutritious and flavorful, meanwhile incorporating sustainable, organic farming practices. We work cooperatively with several other growers who also grow and raise animals organically to provide our members/customers with a diverse selection of goods. This also alleviates a lot of the "shared risk" factor out of our farms CSA. Many of our members/customers are very happy to know they are helping to support several small family farms. We are a U-Pack CSA at all our Market locations, with a few exceptions. We will pack boxes for special circumstances (ie. physical handicaps, gifts for others, special pick ups, etc.). We provide the containers for all the goodies. There is also a swap table that memers can trade out items that they do not want. We pack all the boxes for Member Drop Off locations.

This is a share members home. Boxes may be picked up on Thursdays after 4pm. This is a great alternative for our members who have day jobs that don't allow them to pick up at the market.

Saturday between 10am and 1:30pm. We are a U-Pack CSA at our markets. We have a seperate CSA section set up at Market for CSA members seperate from our items for sale. We provide you with a container and a Swap table for you to trade out items you may not want that week.

Winter Market in downtown Bay City  (Thu)
Members may pick up their winter shares on Thursdays at one of CSA member homes. We will be set up from 11 am to 1 pm every two weeks starting Thur. November 18, 2010 through April 13, 2011. We will have fresh homegrown veggies until we sell out. They will be root cellar veggies (potato's, cabbage, winter squash, onions, apples) as well as Green House greens (lettuces, spinach, chard, radishes, etc.) We will also have baked goods, home made noodles, organic honey, seeds and plants .
