Description

Sweeter Song Farm
Most members pick up their shares on the farm . Some shares are delivered to drops sites in Traverse City. This service requires an additional fee. Members from different communities often coordinate and pick up for each other.

Sweeter Song Farm is a CSA serving 165 families. We are certified organic by the Midwest Organic Services Association. We provide our members with a full range of vegetables during a 18 week growing season. We also cooperate with other local farms to provide eggs, maple syrup, meat, mushrooms, apples and other items. The farm is open for visits and tours all season. We have one full time and a couple of part time workers every year. We also have work shares available. Our shareholders participate in the decision making at the farm. Though working on the farm is not required, many shareholders volunteer to help in the fields and do other tasks. The farm also provides shares at no charge to needy families and works with the Fresh Food Partnership to provide food to local food banks.
