NOW Accepting new CSA members for 2011----Skipper Farms is family owned and operated offering a wide variety of naturally grown, tasty, and safe fresh fruits and vegetables. We have been specializing in homegrown, fresh produce serving the Hampton Roads Community for over 30 years and we strive for customer satisfaction. We also supply numerous other local area farm stands, restaurants and outlets. We utilize sustainable farming practices to ensure peak nutrition and best tasting produce possible. We have high standards for the natural foods that feed our family as well as yours. We therefore avoid chemical useage in order to protect our food supply and safeguard our families. As a community supported agriculture member ( CSA ), you will enjoy a wide variety of fresh fruit and tasty vegetables throughout the seasons.

The Spring/Summer 2011 CSA will be from May 6, 2011 for 22 weeks until October 1, 2011. Our website at skipperfarms.com gives some samples of member shares. We are known throughout the area for our homegrown Tomatoes, as well as other garden fresh goodies such as Strawberries, Cantaloupe, Sweet corn, Peaches, Watermelons,Yellow Squash, Zuchinni, and Beans . We are open all year until Christmas Eve. Our produce has been grown using no toxic chemicals,since we also eat what we grow. Your share baskets of produce are harvested just prior to delivery for freshness to provide satisfaction and quality. We welcome questions about home canning and freezing your produce. Recipes are also available for the asking. A la Carte items are available both in bulk or serving sizes . We are proud of serving Chesapeake and Virginia Beach for over 30 seasons.
