Description

Seton Harvest is a conventional CSA offering both half and full shares. Distribution occurs from mid-May through mid-November. We grow approximately fifty different varieties of vegetables, herbs and flowers. Shareholders (Full Share) receive approximately 250 pounds of produce throughout the growing season. The farm is owned and sponsored by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent depaul. The religious community subsidizes approximately thirty shares annually which are delivered to a number of area food pantries and shelters. The key drivers for the Sisters are responsible land stewardship, sustainable agriculture and providing a local source for healthy nutritious food.

Seton Harvest is a Community Supported Agriculture Project sponsored by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent DePaul, a non-for-profit religious organization committed to promoting sustainable agriculture. Our first growing season began in the Spring of 2006. We started with 64 shareholder families and expanded to 146 in 2009. The farm produces some 50+ different vegetables, flowers and herbs. Our ten acre farm site includes a barn, two greenhouses and is fully irrigated. Seton Harvest has proved to be a successful ecological justice initiative and has received much support from the local community.
