 Santa Rita Flower Farm
After over a decade of working for other Santa Barbara County organic farms, Roxanne and myself decided to give it a try on our own. Our focus was to grow florist quality, certified organic cut flowers. Unfortunately the market for organic products seemed to stop at the plate, while the flowers sitting less than a foot from the plate contain amounts of synthetic products that would be seen as illegal if on the food. We were not willing to let this stop us from achieving our dream. We simply began planting rare and mostly heirloom varieties of fruits and veggies. Our superior quality has been the leading factor in our farm's success. We can be found at the Sunday Goleta and Thursday Carpinteria Farmers' Markets.
