Description
Portland Organic Gardens specializes in the set-up and maintenance of custom balcony, vertical, raised and traditional organic gardens. Our professional gardeners will build raised beds, truck in soil, install automatic drip-sprinkler systems, plant organic vegetables, herbs, berries, fruit and nut trees and begin the cultivation process on your Organic Garden. A weekly maintenance service is offered in addition, and at the end of each weekly visit Portland Organic Gardens will place a basket of freshly picked, organically, grown produce from your garden at your back door, along with recipes, storing methods and information on leftover harvest projects, such as; canning and drying. As part of the weekly maintenance service we will also provide successive planting, elongating the harvest season and providing your family with a diverse menu all year long.
Enjoy fresh, healthy, organic produce by becoming a Portland Organic Garden Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Member. The name CSA comes from the idea of linking local residents with nearby farmers in order to get fresher vegetables to consumers at a lower price. The concept is quite simple: each year you buy a "share" of the harvest, becoming a "shareholder" of an organic garden. The yearly share price supports the actual costs of running the garden. In return, each garden supplies each shareholder with seasonal produce. For 20 weeks, beginning June through October, we will deliver produce to our CSA members to enjoy the fruits and vegetables their partnership has made possible.
