Description

Shareholders joining our CSA commit to supporting a local farm and sharing in the risks and rewards of the season. Farm bounty includes over 150 varieties of vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, greens, root vegetables and much much more! Some crops are pick-your-own, such as beans, peas, cherry tomatoes and raspberries. We also offer additional optional shares in sweet corn, berries and orchard fruits from neighboring farms. We encourage shareholders to become involved with the farm; if you volunteer 10 (5 for half share) hours for a full share and record these hours in the Harvest Room Work Book, you will be entitled to a credit of $50 ($25 for half share), which will be applied to your share price for the following season.

Located on 65 scenic acres in the Hudson Valley of New York State, Phillies Bridge Farm Project is a non-profit, working farm that connects people to their food and the land by running education programs, growing food for the community, and sharing part of the harvest with people in need.

Phillies Bridge Farm Project grows mixed vegetables on approximately 6 acres using methods that comply with the organic standards. Most of their produce is marketed through their Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. CSA shareholders receive an abundant assortment of weekly produce for 24 weeks from late May through mid-November. The farm also offers several optional shares for local berries, fruit, and sweet corn.

Phillies Bridge Farm Project demonstrates and promotes local agriculture that is ecologically sound, community oriented, and economically viable. The Farm Project achieves these goals through farm demonstrations, educational programs, internships, research, dissemination of information, distribution of food to those in need, and the operation of a working farm.
