Description
Living Stones Farm
We grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers. In general we will distribute between 6-12 items per week. Early in the season, the shares contain a lot of leafy greens. As the season progresses, fruiting vegetables are added. By the end of the season, the shares are full of leafy greens, root and fruiting vegetables.
Living Stones Farm is a faith-based social enterprise, which provides transitional job training and empowerment opportunities for those returning from incarceration.
Returning citizens learn life and business skills in an atmosphere of acceptance and accountability. Our work in sustainable agriculture, community service, and the arts develops economic and entrepreneurial confidence that are central to our financial self-sufficiency and mission.
We work in and learn the business of commercial agriculture, which contributes to both the security of our local food system, and to the sustainability of Living Stones Farm.
