Description
We offer Summer Harvest Shares (June-Oct, once per week), Holiday Harvest Shares (Nov-Dec), Winter Shares (Jan-April) and Meat Shares (pork, beef and turkey). Summer Harvest Shares are a diverse mix of vegetables, set out market style. This means you receive free choice up to a total weight, which is around 5-20#/ week. Holiday Shares include about 30# of vegetables for your Thanksgiving and/or December Holiday meal. We also include extras from other local farms like eggs, potato rolls and cranberries. Even if you are not hosting the meal, all the food is storable and/or freezable. The animals are all butchered in the fall and individual cuts are placed in vaccumed sealed packs. You have the choice of how you'd like your portion of the animal cut.
Little Ridge Farm is located on the Gould Road in Lisbon Falls, Maine. The land has been in agriculture since the 1800's and we are excited to have the opportunity to continue the tradition.
Our mission is to provide fresh healthful food for the community while maintaining healthy soils, environment and self. All of our products are grown free of synthetic chemicals, hormones, antibiotics and cages. We are striving for beyond organic; paying close attention to animal and environmental health. We have been encouraged to live in a community that supports local products and we welcome you to join us in healthy, delicious eating!
