Heritage Farms CSA was born by our family's desire to return to agrarian roots. Having grown up in a Northern Neck Farm Family the pull of the dirt was never far away and our understanding for high quality fresh fruits and vegetables second nature. Upon learning about Community Supported Agriculture, we immediately saw an opportunity to bring our community the benefit of fresh, wholesome vegetables and at the same time attack the problem of the substandard, bacteria infested products spread throughout the global agriculture market and landing in our grocery stores.

We have partnered with local farmers who see what we see and feel what we feel about the importance of only the finest product entering our homes.

A weekly CSA share will consist of 6-10 select seasonal items, bagged and/or bunched in each box. Each shareholder will receive 2 wax boxes each season, exchanging an empty box for a full box weekly at the pick up site. During the Spring and Fall season shares may only contain 6-8 items per week, but during the Summer season shares will contain as many as 10 items per week. A typical Spring box may contain various lettuces both leaf and head, cabbages, greens, potatoes, spinach, beets, onions or herbs. A typical Summer box may contain several types of tomatoes, bell peppers, corn, a wide variety of summer squashes, eggplant, cantaloupe, carrots, onions, green beans and a wide variety of culinary herbs. A Winter box may contain various tomatoes, both summer and winter squashes, green beans, a wide variety of leaf vegetables including lettuces and greens, broccoli, and cauliflower.
