Description

Green Mountain Girls Farm
Welcome to the Green Mountain Girls Farm! In the heart of Central Vermont, we are raising healthy (natural & sustainable), happy (free range and loved) animals and vegetables. In addition to raising tasty, organic food, we provide a wonderful respite for visitors. Our Barn Guesthouse is now open so you can experience a bit of farm life, or just relax and have fun on our trails and in the pond. Pork, chicken and eggs are available for sale at the farm, visit our website for more details. Our eggs are also available at Hunger Mountain Co-op in Montpelier. We are offering an Omnivore's Farm Share and are taking requests for additional members. See our blog (VermontFarm.blogspot.com) for more details on the farm share or email us for a brochure.

We offer a Farm Share that: -Provides local, organically managed Meat, Eggs, Vegetables, Herbs, Flowers and Dairy -Enables you to choose how much and what you want each week - a Free Choice Model -Invites you to share our farm -pond swims, picnics, trails -Supplies food all year

You join and we commit to grow food for you. Each week, we will provide plenty of vegetables and herbs that are in season in addition to 1 or 2 meat choices (lamb, pork and/or chicken), eggs, and goat milk. You pay monthly and get to choose what you bring home each week, both the items and the quantity. Some weeks you will take home more because you have guests coming, some weeks less because you are traveling or have dinner invitations. We ask that you do not horde food nor feed the neighborhood (unless they all buy shares), but rather take what you will eat that week. Built on this system of trust, we think it will balance out and allow each member to bring home more of your favorites.

Winter too In the late fall and winter months, we will offer food stored from the growing season (squash, potatoes, onions, apples, carrots and other root vegetables), some fresh greens, eggs & milk, as well as produce that has been frozen or canned. Various meat cuts will be offered fresh and frozen .
