Description

Gateway Organic Farm - 3.19 acres of urban paradise! Our family farm is a tiny 100' x 1388' strip of land in the heart of Pinellas County,FL - the most densely populated county south of NYC!

A true urban phenomenon - a former landscape nursery in transition to a series of wonderful herb and vegetable gardens. After years of neglect, the sandy soil has become fertile and robust with the addition of composted organic matter and now yields a bounty of beautiful produce each week at harvest.

Our goal is to provide the freshest vegetables, herbs, and flowers to our CSA members and local Tampa Bay chefs who share our love of "slow food." Hydroponics trials are also underway using OMRI approved nutrients and supporting our efforts to conserve water.

We are a small family farm in the heart of Pinellas County Fl. Our goal is to provide the freshest vegetables, herbs, and flowers to our CSA members and local Tampa Bay chefs who share our love of "slow food."

We currently grow approx 40 different types of vegetables from a dozen varieties of lettuces to kohlrabi, from potatoes and tomaotes to cabbage and kale, broccoli raab and carrots, turnips and beets, green beans, fennel, arugala,.. and the list goes on and on.
