Description
Dove's Landing Farm
During the Summer/Fall Share, you will receive a bag of fresh seasonal veggies each week from late May through early October (20 weeks total - for a shorter commitment there is an optional 12 week share). A regular bag is designed for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. A bag will also be available for a family of 4 large eaters. We will decide what to put in the bag, but it will be a good cross section of the vegetables that are available during the season. The value of the bag varies from week to week, typically being highest in July and August. However, averaged out over the season, we will meet or exceed the value of your purchase price. You will also get regular farm updates via e-mail indicating what will be in the bag that week, giving recipes and cooking ideas and sharing events on the farm.
With your purchase of a 2011 Dove's Landing Farm CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) share you will receive seasonal produce that is harvested at the peak of ripeness. Our produce bags vary in size and price. Our CSA program gives you the flexibility of choosing a share option that fits your family's food needs. This year Dove's Landing is will continue to offer the traditional 20 week share, but also, a 12 week share. In addition, Dove's Landing offers egg shares that may be added to a regular vegetable share.
