Description
A weekly harvest of fresh, organic herbs, fruits, and vegetables. Each box is built around a majority of broadly popular items available at that time (salad greens, peas, tomatoes, sweet corn, broccoli, carrots, green onions, snap beans, cucumbers... and etc). Each week, 1 to 2 less well known items are included in the share, such as kohlrabi, fennel root, asian greens, daikon radish, and such. Up to 45 types of vegetables and culinary herbs will be distributed throughout the season, eggs and flower bouquets provided occasionally. Weekly newsletters, recipes, website, and on farm events help you to utilize your share and stay connected with the farm.
Cedarville Farm has been growing organic vegetables, fruits, herbs, & flowers on the sandy loam soils of the Nooksack River since 1989. We are Whatcom County's oldest and one of its largest CSA farms, supplying up to 175 households with our fresh product over a 30 week harvest season. On farm events, weekly newsletters featuring recipes and farm news, and work share options enhance the overall shareholder experience. We pride ourselves on providing our shareholders a consistent, varied, and delicious share of the harvest - from our farm to your table! New in 2011: local organic fruit and pastured chicken and turkey.
