Description

Blue Moon Community Farm
Our CSA is best suited to members who want to experience a farm first-hand. Our pick-up is on the farm, where our chickens, turkeys, and pigs are great hosts to your weekly visit. We also set aside a U-pick garden for members only where folks can pick flowers, herbs, and cherry tomatoes free of charge. We also offer U-pick canning tomatoes, tomatillos, and pickling cucumbers for a fee. Our standard share feeds a veggie loving couple or a family of four with a more diverse diet. An EOW share is often a great solution for people who love the farmers market too much to give up shopping for veggies, a new member who want to get his/her feet wet, or a travel-heavy schedule.

Blue Moon is a small, diverse farm offering a wide variety of certified organic vegetables as well as pastured poultry and pork. We grow over 40 different vegetables, focusing on heirloom and great-tasting varieties, and raise heritage chicken and turkey breeds. Our CSA encourages members to get to know the farm first-hand by visiting the U-pick garden each week, participating in farm gatherings throughout the season, and taking in our weekly news and recipes. We offer a 20-week CSA share, an Every-other-week share (10 weeks), a 4-week late fall share, and meats by pre-order. Not the CSA type? We also market our vegetables at the Westside Community Market in Madison, WI and to restaurants in our region.
